Specifications include, but are not limited to: a) Labor: Over the course of the year, the Bonner Springs Public Works Department may require assistance from a Contractor to make an emergency repair on water or sewer pipelines. Often these instances are time-sensitive where the City’s bidding process is not feasible. We request a list of labor and equipment charges we can anticipate (excluding any material costs) if the need arises. We will call and schedule the work based on the prices indicated on the submitted labor and equipment sheet. b) Materials: In most cases, Bonner Springs Public Works will provide most or all of the materials needed for the repairs. The details regarding the materials needed for a specific job will be determined at that time. The City agrees to a reasonable markup for materials supplied by a contractor. c) Inspection:Inspection of all work will be performed by Bonner Springs Public Works Department Staff. d) Warranty: In lieu of a bond, a two (2) year warranty will be required on all materials and labor. The selected Contractors will be required to provide a written signed statement to guarantee all work for two years.
