Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) The electronic screening system bidder must be in the business of supplying technology to screen commercial motor vehicles for enforcement purposes and to screen for tire anomalies at the South Haven enforcement facility. The successful bidder must have at least 3 years of proven experience deploying this technology in the commercial vehicle enforcement environment. The vendor must provide a software and hardware product that is commercially readymade and available. The vendor must also be financially secure. Yes No 2) The electronic screening system’s software must seamlessly integrate with the State’s current Information Technology (IT) data infrastructure including data security, communications, and data format and file structure. Yes No 3) The system shall be Microsoft Windows based server technology, and all database capabilities must be based on a Microsoft database platform. Windows software based, operating on commercially available server platforms including network communications, data storage, user displays and workstations. The system’s software functionality must be 100% compatible with any pre-existing electronic screening system deployments in the State. Yes No 4) The electronic screening system, including database and communications structure shall be designed to accept data from the various government agencies, and shall not rely on any proprietary data sources. Data sources should be controlled and maintained by a government agency. Any data source that can be manipulated, edited, or modified outside of the control of a government agency shall not be acceptable. Yes No 5) Where possible all equipment shall be environmentally hardened, and the use of heating, air conditioning and other extensive environmental controls shall be utilized where required.
