Specifications include, but are not limited to: Completing ten (10) standard penetration (SPT) soil borings each to a nominal depth of 14 ½ feet or to the bedrock surface, whichever is first encountered. Completing two (2) 10-foot rock cores along the retaining wall alignment. Sealing the borings in accordance with Minnesota Department of Health requirements. Obtaining GPS coordinates and ground surface elevations at the soil boring locations. Visually classifying samples recovered from the soil borings. Performing up to 18 moisture content tests and 2 P-200 tests on selected samples. Preparing soil boring logs describing the soil types/classifications and results of water level measurements. Preparing an engineering report summarizing soil and groundwater conditions and providing recommendations for foundation design of the proposed park structures.
