The 3-day Instructor Training consists of the following: • Teaching kit shipped directly to each participant’s preferred address for free (we supply a coupon code) or to your onsite location if hosting in-person • Virtual format: Approximately 1-2 hours of pre-work (MHFA modeling videos) to be completed at your own pace prior to the joining the first day of training • In-person format: Approximately 1-2 of pre-work (MHFA background and pre-eval) to be completed at your own pace prior to the joining the first day of training • Day 1: Unpacking the course, questions, and answers (8-hour day) • Day 2: Coaching by appointment, independent prep for presentation, teaching strategies (8-hour day) • Day 3: Candidates present an assigned section of the course, review one-on-one feedback from the trainer, view other candidate presentations, and graduate • Approximately 1-2 hours of post-work to wrap up the course – this must be completed to gain certification. • There is an hour for lunch each day, along with 30-minute breaks • Instructors can become certified to teach the course in all modes of delivery upon completing required training: in-person and blended (part online, part in-person or virtual) • Additionally, all travel costs of the National Trainers, including their training fees are included within this price point, if you choose to host in-person.
