Specifications include, but are not limited to: The cold asphalt mix must: A. Be workable at a minimum temperature of zero degrees Fahrenheit without being heated. B. Must be all weather-All Seasons (one formula for all) C. Adhere to both asphalt and concrete surfaces that are dry, damp, or wet. D. Be unaffected by salt or deicing compounds. E. Be shipped in bulk from stock or bag (35lb to 60lb) form. F. Remain useable in uncovered stockpiles of 25 tons or more for at least 6 months. G. Be uniform and not require remixing prior to use. Performance testing: The mixture of aggregate materials will be subjected to water susceptibility of asphaltic concrete materials (reference the test procedure DOTD TR-317, step 5(e) thru 5h). Mixtures which exhibit stripping of more than 5% stripping will be rejected.
