Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. Hillsborough County intends to recommend the award of a noncompetitive procurement to Airvac, Inc. (Airvac) in the amount of $2,211,114.00 for a one-time purchase of the following items: (1) Equipment Package for the Left (North) Side of Vacuum Station; (2) Equipment Package for the Right (South) Side of Vacuum Station; (3) Test Bench and Utility Sink Sump; and (4) Dynamic Analysis. Airvac’s equipment package system comes with a two (2) year warranty, training, submittal drawings, delivery, and Operations and Maintenance Manuals. The purchase of this prefabricated vacuum station equipment and controls technology is crucial to the proper operation of the Gibsonton Wastewater Facility. This unique patented system is an investment in innovation and continuous improvement to the County’s water and sewer services, while protecting the water quality of Tampa Bay’s natural water systems. This procurement is being made in accordance with Section 3-208(3) of the County’s Procurement Policy as the system is required to standardize and maintain interchangeability or compatibility as part of an existing integrated system recently installed at the Rocky Creek Drive location and will reduce financial investment, simplify administration, and is only reasonably available from Airvac. Additionally, the items are protected by various United States patents and the manufacturer is the sole source provider who sells this patented system only through authorized use.
