Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State is seeking to enter into grant contracts with mental health treatment providers enrolled with Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP) who currently provide services to children and youth in Minnesota. The objective is to strengthen the clinical infrastructure by providing training and consultation in evidence-based treatment strategies to practicing mental health providers. This RFP will likely result in two separate cohorts of trainees. The cohorts will be limited to 25 trainees each and participating agencies will be divided by responder location. The training for the first cohort will hold in the summer of this year (July or August 2024), and the second will be held in the fall of this year (October or November 2024). Priority for this funding will be given to agencies that: • reach underserved and hard to treat populations (e.g., rural areas, communities experiencing disparities, patients with complex health needs and uninsured individuals, or other underserved populations); • provide equitable and culturally sensitive services to diverse populations, especially those experiencing disparities. “Diverse populations” include racial and ethnic communities, including American Indians; LGBTQI communities; disability status; veterans; geographic diversity; • have demonstrated a strong commitment to utilizing evidence-based treatment and monitoring outcomes; and • have developed a comprehensive plan for sustaining such practices.
