The responsibilities of Contractor include, but shall not be limited to, the following. A. Purchase and recycle ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal from City that, at City’s election for each City site providing the scrap metal, will either be delivered to Contractor’s facility by City or picked up by Contractor from City at various City sites on either a scheduled or as-requested basis. All scrap metal received from City shall become the property of Contractor and Contractor assumes risk of loss for such scrap metal at the time it is either delivered to Contractor’s facility by City or picked up by Contractor from City at City sites where Contractor performs scrap metal pickup service. B. The Fleet Management Division may occasionally require Contractor to accept vehicles that have been cut in half. C. Contractor shall weigh each load received or picked up from City and shall provide City with a weight ticket for each load that shows the day, time, vehicle number (or other vehicle identifier), the driver’s name, the metal type, weight of the load, and City site location and/or City division or department that provided the scrap metal. Contractor shall weigh City’s scrap metal as soon as it is delivered to Contractor’s site by City or Contractor, as applicable.
