Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Invitation to Bid is to solicit bids from interested and qualified Vendors for cover tarping and tension fabric structure repair. There are currently no City Blanket contracts for this service. The City owns multiple tension fabric structures. Several of these structures were manufactured by Big Top Manufacturing from Florida and/or Britespan Building Systems, Tukwila, WA. The City requires a vendor who can perform maintenance and repair to the trusses, purlins and fabric of these tension fabric structures and canopies. This can include repairs that will require high lifts or forklifts. City structures range in size from 33 feet wide, 41 feet long and 22 feet tall to 50 feet wide, 55 feet long, and 21 feet tall. Some structures have mesh side panels. Occasionally, the City has buildings where the roof system has failed. The City requires a vendor who can perform “Hurricane” or cover tarping with tarp fabric or other heavy duty material to protect the interior of the building until a decision can be made about roof restoration. City Departments that own tension fabric structures including Seattle Public Utilities, Seattle City Light, Seattle Department of Transportation, Seattle Fire Department, and Parks. General Requirements: • Recycle existing materials to the extent feasible in accordance with City Ordinance 124076. • This work will be subject to Prevailing Wage. • A City representative will be onsite to coordinate and provide direction, as required. • Equipment needed for the work should be provided by Bidder. This includes any Lift or forklift.
