Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Reinforced Concrete Pipe in accordance with most current Georgia Department of Transportation Standard #1030D for pipe culverts and concrete headwalls in accordance with GDOT Standard 1001-B and GDOT 2021 Standard Specifications Section 550—Storm Drain Pipe, Pipe-Arch Culverts, and Side Drain Pipe. Install Type S sediment barrier (Sd1-S 2 row) in accordance with the Manual for Erosion & Sediment Control in Georgia. Require Storm Drain Outlet Protection (St) in the well-defined channel for the minimum apron length and using medium size stone = 2 ft. • Backfill material shall meet 95% compaction and reports. Contractor will be required to include all shoring, trucking in and out, traffic control, backfill material, to complete the job in its entirety. Contractor will be required to provide compaction reports to 95% to the Dawson County Special Projects Coordinator. • Contractor will be responsible for following all related ASTM F-1216 and associated specifications and standards. • All materials, pavement specification and traffic control shall meet the Georgia Department of Transportation guidelines and specifications and current MUTCD manual. • Contractor pricing will include adjusting all mailboxes 2’ from edge of pavement prior to the placement of the first course of asphalt. Reset all mailboxes per USPS standards at the end of each day. • Contractor shall provide a three (3) year warranty on all work completed and on the new pipes. • There may be a water line on Burt Creek Road that could conflict with the installation of culverts. • Culvert Replacements are all in unincorporated Dawson County at approximate locations shown below.
