Complete renovation, facility upgrades, and expansion work at the Clay Madsen Recreation Center(CMRC). CMRC is a 55,000 square foot facility that was built in 2000 and is in need of renovation, facility upgrades, and expansion. CMRC houses an indoor pool, weight room, gymnasium with (2) courts, men's/women's locker room, racquetball courts, administrative office areas, and an outdoor exercise area. Expansion will be done across the front of the facility so that there is added space for improved programs and to provide a fresh face lift to the building. Expansion will include the addition of approximately 25,000 square feet to the weightroom, multipurpose rooms, and the gymnasium. Critical facility remodel upgrades will include the pool area, wastewater utility upgrade, and HVAC upgrades. Pool area renovations may include a new drain system and backwash holding tank, new fire suppression system, sealing up the existing walls to isolate the pool area to mitigate humidity issues, and the installation of a new water supply line. Wastewater upgrades may include demo and installation of new wastewater utilities within building code and addressing the backflow issues that are occurring throughout the building. HVAC upgrades should include update of pipe work, new chiller, and other items to address condensation issues. Other facility upgrades may include upgrading the electrical main distribution panel, painting, lay-in ceiling replacement, and improving the building envelope.
