Specifications include, but are not limited to: FCS is seeking a qualified Contractor(s) to provide lawn care and maintenance services to various locations. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools and materials to cut grass and provide maintenance services according to the specifications. Lawn care services shall not interfere with school activities. The services shall be performed in a manner that maintains a safe environment for students and staff, and maintains an aesthetically pleasing appearance and healthy grass, trees and shrubs. The Contractor shall: • Use his/her best expertise and initiative to make recommendations to the Learning Community Environmental Service Technician which shall enhance the appearance of the grounds to include, but not be limited to, routine examination for insects and disease, and recommended treatment. • Require all employees to comply with the instructions pertaining to conduct and building regulations issued by the Learning Community Environmental Service Technician duly appointed officials such as Building Inspectors, Managers, etc. • Be available for periodic inspections of the site at the request of the Learning Community Environmental Service Technician, Contract Administrator or his/her designee. • Have a competent Foreman in charge of the working crew at all times with complete authority to act for the Contractor. • Be responsible for all damages to property caused by his/her employees. Such damages shall be repaired promptly to the satisfaction of and at no expense to FCS. • Have adequate manpower to recover lost time within two (2) working days, when weather prevents delivery of services. • The Contractor shall provide a 24 hour “single point of contact number” to address any problems or complaints.
