The STATE seeks consultant services to conduct an analysis of strategies for integrating coastal zone management in HHL. The analysis shall assess current opportunities and challenges, as well as identify potential strategies to address those challenges and create consistent shoreline-area guidance and/or regulations across the State’s HHL. The outcomes of this study will provide the information and direction necessary to achieve the long-term objectives of this initiative: to propose amendments to Hawaiʻi CZM law (HRS Ch. 205A), Hawaiʻi Administrative Rules, and other statutes or rules where applicable, and if indicated, to establish DHHL as an Agency with authority to conduct coastal zone management within HHL.
