Specifications include, but are not limited to: COPE OF WORK Independent Building Commissioning Agent will be required to ensure that the building systems and equipment are performing in accordance with the design intent and UNMH’s operational needs. This will be achieved through the design, construction, acceptance and warranty phases and shall be documented through written verification of performance and compliance. Independent Building Commissioning consultant will be required to necessitate communication and coordination with UNMH Owner’s representative and various UNMH departments, design professionals, engineers, general and sub-contractors, and any additional required entities or Authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ). Services may include but not limited to; ensuring commissioning prerequisite requirements are met to achieve project certifications, goal attainment, and sustainability targets (i.e. ASHRAE, Energy Star, LEED, FGI, and HUD). Consultant is to adhere to industry standards and best practices and commissioning guidelines by leading organizations such as: • American Society for Health Care Engineering of the American Hospital Association • ASHE Health Facility Commissioning Guidelines • Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI)- for Commissioning (1.2-8-.1 – FGI 2018) • American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) • Building Commissioning Association • National Institute of Building Science (NIBS) • Portland Energy Conservation, Inc. (PECI) • U.S. Department of Energy • U.S. Green Building Council
