Provide consultant services for preliminary engineering and right-of-way (ROW) acquisition services for a streetscape redesign project on New Peachtree Road and Shallowford Road, from the limits of the current New Peachtree Road streetscape (PI 0012612) south to Chamblee-Dunwoody Road. This project is a streetscape enhancement project. The focus is to create better pedestrian and bicycling infrastructure along New Peachtree Road and Shallowford Road. This project will continue south the streetscape enhancements that Doraville has recently finished on New Peachtree Road in front of the Doraville MARTA station. The main components of this project will include: • Wider sidewalks on both sides of the street, as well as street trees to protect pedestrians and cyclists. • A shared multiuse path on the north side of the streets. • Reworking the intersection of New Peachtree Road and Shallowford Road from a forking intersection into a T intersection, including the addition of a traffic light.
