Specifications include, but are not limited to: The successful vendor will assist the Kentucky 911 Services Board in the following ways. Please address each assignment/deliverable by describing your proposal to fulfill each of these responsibilities: -Advising the Board on its options for an NG911 deployment statewide, taking into consideration existing interim NG911 networks and initiatives in Kentucky and the exploration of adopting a standardized software as a service (SaaS) solution with central hosting provided by or contracted by a central authority. -Assisting the Board in creating RFPs for statewide NG911 initiatives (including but not limited to emergency services IP network, network management, geospatial call routing, and applications/ appliances), and assisting with management of contracts once in place to provide such services. -Providing cost and timeline estimates for each element of the NG911 deployment. -Advising the Board and Board Committees on 911 industry updates and emerging technologies as needed. -Negotiating agreements and facilitating technical discussions with potential providers on behalf of the Board following the RFP efforts listed above. -Overseeing implementation of acquired services and equipment purchased following the RFP and negotiation efforts listed above. -Performing system acceptance testing of acquired services and equipment purchased following the RFP and negotiation efforts listed above. -Creating a certification standard for compliance with statutory and programmatic requirements. -Technical review of the grant applications and expenditure requests made to the Board under its existing grant fund programs.
