Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Investigation of the existing site. 2. Demolition plans. 3. Site redevelopment. 4. Design development of the South Dekalb Transit Hub. The design development program will include, but not be limited to: a. Bus loop for ten (10) bus bays (eight (8) standard-size bays for 40’ buses and two (2) extended bays for 60’ articulated buses) b. Bus layover spaces and electric charging stations c. Plaza with sheltered public amenity space d. Multi-level service building with public and operator rest rooms, operator break area, janitor room, MARTA Police office, customer service space, vertical transportation connecting Candler Road to the lower Hub level, and rooms for electrical and communications equipment e. Canopies at bus bays for sheltering patrons f. Ticketing/Breeze Card vending g. Real-time bus information kiosks/signage h. Pedestrian access and connectivity improvements i. Associated Public and Non-public spaces j. Passenger drop off/ pick up (Kiss and Ride) location with sheltered waiting area k. Taxi/ridesharing waiting area l. Parking for MARTA employees and MARTA maintenance staff. m. Quality landscaping and compatible facility finishes n. Communications and security systems (including power and infrastructure support) • CCTV • Access Control • Visual Message Signs (VMS-AVIS) • Public Address (PA-AVIS) • Emergency and Informational Telephones • Data Networks • WiFi/Data/Technology Infrastructure • Fiber infrastructure • Fare collection and vending, and • Other Systems Typical of a MARTA Bus Station o.
