Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Uniforms to be laundered or dry cleaned will include uniform shirt – short/long short sleeved, uniform trouser and uniform jacket. Detective uniforms to be laundered consist of an oxford shirt, trouser, polo and tactical pant. Plain clothes personnel garments to be laundered or dry cleaned consist of tactical pant, dress trousers, polo shirt and long/short sleeved dress shirts. 2. All garments are to be thoroughly cleaned and have all stains removed through laundering procedures in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications. 3. All garments are to be spotted for stains and treated with the proper chemicals to insure removal. 4. All cleaning chemicals used must meet or exceed current environmental and safety requirements. 5. Perchloroethylene and Trichloroethylene (TCE) shall not be used during any uniform dry cleaning and laundry services. 6. Garments shall be cleaned and pressed in accordance with the best practices of the trade and in compliance with the Georgia State Commercial and Industrial Laundry Codes. 7. All garments shall be laundered or dry-cleaned using detergents or cleaners which leave the garment clean, and stain and odor free. Garments which retain offensive or residual odor after laundering will be replaced free of charge by the successful vendor. 8. Trousers/pants are to be hung on a 13-gauge hanger with a no slip trouser guard. 9. Shirts/polos are to be hung on a 14-gauge executive shirt hanger. 10. Officer jackets are to be hung on 15–17-gauge hanger.
