The objective is to adopt a software solution facilitating an efficient permitting and licensing process for both residential and commercial projects, with a focus on financial viability. The software should replace the current paper/electronic system and potentially integrate additional services. The city aims for automation of all permitting and licensing functions for both internal and external stakeholders. The software should also be able to integrate with other City systems used by other departments, such as the Tax Assessor, Finance, Public Works, Health, Fire Marshal, and the Town Clerk. Furthermore, the city desires a violation tracking system for blight, zoning, and permit violations, along with site plan review software, a user-friendly website for navigating permitting and licensing, and digitization of documentation to support modernization efforts.
