Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. The purpose of this project is to provide a new air handler and condensing unit to replace aging equipment and to provide cleaner air to the building by adding bi-polar ionization and better filtration Work shall include but not be limited to replacing the existing air handler AHU-1 and CU-1. B. The contractor shall remove and replace the existing air handler system and accessories as outlined in the construction documents and modify ductwork and piping as required for connection to new equipment. C. The contractor shall re-insulate all ductwork in the mechanical room associated with the replaced AHUs, including supply air, return air, outside air, and mixed air ducts as applicable. D. The contractor shall coordinate any downtime of HVAC systems to be replaced with East Georgia State College. E. The contractor shall coordinate equipment sizes and clearances with the existing conditions prior to purchase or installation of any material.
