Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1. Built for mobile service with a capacity of 1235 gallons to a maximum 1250 gallons for use with liquid herbicide weighing 12 pounds per gallon. 2.2. A minimum of 50 inches in height and 65 inches in width. Total length of tank shall be a minimum of 125 inches to a maximum of 128 inches. All dimensions shall fall within a range of tolerance of ± 2 inches to allow for differences in injection molding processes. 2.3. Built with four legs for support, with molded-in quarter section and interior baffles to reduce sloshing. The four legs shall extend the entire width of tank at the base for added support of the tank and its contents. 2.4. Constructed by a molded process, which is highly resistant to stress cracking and ultraviolet (UV) light damage or degradation and molded with added pigmentation which shall give the tank a smooth opaque white finish. The finish shall effectively inhibit algae growth by significantly reducing UV light inside the tank. 2.5. Equipped with a minimum 16 inch inside diameter (ID) access port with lid located at the tank’s longitudinal midpoint. Access port may be centered or offset on top. 2.5.1. The access port lid shall be equipped with a 4-1/2 inch to 5 inch ID covered fill opening. The fill opening shall be located in the center of the access port lid. 2.5.2. Access port lid shall fit snugly to prevent leakage or inadvertent detachment. Lid shall not require the use of a hold-down device such as clips, bands or straps. 2.6. Equipped with a factory installed, completely assembled, 3/4 inch agitation line as indicated on Attachment A, Drawing for Specification 830-44-58. Agitator housing nozzles shall be nylon or other chemically compatible material. All plumbing from the bottom of the tank to the agitator nozzles shall be stainless steel and all connections shall be assembled with threadlocker to prevent unintentional separation during operation. The threadlocker shall be Loctite® 242, medium strength blue, manufactured by Henkel or TxDOT approved equal. 2.7. Equipped with an upper 1-1/2 inch female pipe thread (FPT) bulkhead outlet for a return line and a 1-1/2 inch FPT, bulkhead and secondary drain outlet with a stainless steel plug, located on the top rear of the tank, as indicated on Attachment A. All bulkhead fittings shall be bolt-on 316 stainless steel with seals of Viton, polyethylene, or TxDOT approved equal. All external fittings shall be installed using Permatex Form-A-Gasket® sealant, 2C 80011, No. 2, or TxDOT approved equal on all threads, to prevent leakage. 2.8. Equipped with a factory installed primary suction outlet that shall be a 1-1/2 inch bulkhead FPT fitting located in the bottom center of the tank. 2.9. Equipped with a factory installed anti-vortex plate over the bottom outlet. The anti-vortex plate shall be designed so that flow from the tank is not restricted. All outlets and inlets shall be reinforced in accordance with industry standards. 2.10. Equipped with a scale molded on each end of the tank marked in 200 gallon increments from 200 - 1200 gallons. The scales on each end shall have a minimum two inch black rectangular strip painted over the length of the scale. The molded markings of the scales shall be painted or sanded in relief to stand out in contrast to the black strip. The scales shall accurately measure the volume of the liquid inside the tank. 2.11. Equipped with sight gauges located on each end of the tank for a quick reference to the level of liquid in the tank. The sight gauges shall work in conjunction with the scales required in Para. 2.10. 2.12. Furnished with hold-down bands to secure the four support legs of the tank to the metal truck bed. The hold-down bands shall be constructed of a minimum one inch galvanized or painted steel bent to the specific radius of the tank. The bands shall have a welded mount foot at each end with pre-drilled 5/8 inch holes. 2.13. Tanks shall be configured as shown in Attachment A.
