Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. These specifications request a contract to start around 4/1/2024 for the purchase and delivery of live “pure” channel catfish, no hybrids. 2. Fish shall be delivered to each of the lakes (noted below) within each region of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) – see attached map. 3. Request for delivery of fish shall be made the first week of April, May, and June for each lake. 4. Bids shall be based on a delivered price per pound for catfish meeting the following specifications below. 5. Bidders shall submit separate bids for each region. The lowest bid price for each region shall be awarded. 6. At least fifty percent (50%), by weight, of the delivered catfish shall be produced by the contracted vendor. 7. Seven thousand fifty (7,050) pounds of catfish shall be delivered to each region during the one-year term of the contract. However, no purchase amount shall be guaranteed due to potential budgetary restraints. • Region 1 – 1,050 pounds total • Region 2 – 2,100 pounds total • Region 3 - 900 pounds total • Region 4 – 3,000 pounds total 8. Deliveries shall be during the months of April, May, and June. 9. Channel catfish shall have an average weight of three-quarter (0.75) to one and a half (1.5) pounds each, with the maximum acceptable variance outside this weight range being no more than ten (10) percent. 10. Prior to off-loading/stocking, fish shall be made available to TWRA for inspection. 11. TWRA shall evaluate the quality and weight of the fish being delivered and check for the presence of non-target fish species. 12. Non-Target species shall not be included with the delivery of live channel catfish. If nontarget species are found, the entire load shall be denied by TWRA, and the amount/poundage shall be replaced, or the entire amount ($) shall be deducted. 13. Channel catfish shall be healthy and disease free, with no external lesions or sores. TWRA shall not pay for dead or diseased fish. For any dead/sick fish, the amount/poundage shall be replaced or that amount ($) shall be deducted. 14. Fish shall be tempered. There shall be no more than six (6) degrees difference between the tank and receiving water. The temperature shall be gradually adjusted no more than one (1) degree every two (2) minutes.
