Approximately 24 miles (75 acres) of herbicide application to control invasive plants on Minnesota DNR State Forestry Roads and Minimum Maintenance Roads in Cook County. Herbicide Treatment: • Herbicides will be applied using a boom or wand connected to a truck or ATV-mounted tank, or rarely with a backpack sprayer. In most cases spot-treatment will be the most appropriate approach. • Treat roadsides to a width of 12’ on either side, or the entire width in the case of minimum maintenance roads with a vegetated roadbed. In addition, where there are wide spots extending beyond the 12’ swath (such as old landings or parking areas) which are heavily infested with the target species, those areas should be treated. • Follow all label specifications and directions for appropriate application rates
