The City of Yuma is requesting bids for the Kennedy Hockey Rink Surface Restoration project to purchase and deliver outdoor rated in-line tiles for the Kennedy Hockey Rink. This hockey rink is uncovered and subject to extreme heat conditions. 2. PRODUCT 2.01 INTERLOCKING SUSPENDED MODULAR IN-LINE TILE a) Prefabricated tile system: Inline hockey tile, as manufactured by Stilmat flooring for outdoor rated use. b) Kennedy Hockey Rink Entire Surface area is 16,624 square feet. The exterior tiles will be installed under a Z-Bracket Expansion System (Attachment A). c) Material: Modules should be made from synthetic ecological polypropylene The material shall be designed to provide high color integrity, excellent weatherability, good traction, water resistant, resilient, and durable for normal play. Material to be fungus and mildew resistant. d) Tiles shall be made to put on existing concrete. e) Tiles to be water, crash, and scratch resistant. f) Tile Dimensions: Minimum of 12”x12” and maximum of 16”x16” inches. g) Thickness Minimum of 0.40 inch and maximum of 0.55 inch. h) Upper Wall Thickness: Minimum of 0.06 inch and maximum of 0.07 inch. i) Weight: Minimum of 14 oz. and maximum of 17 oz. j) Surface load temperature of +66° F = 730 pounds per square feet: k) Surface: Minimum of 10 sq ft and maximum of 15 sq ft. l) Minimum load of 7,300 lbs. and max load of 10,950 lbs. m) Weight of 1 sq. ft: minimum of 0.875 and maximum of 1.00 lbs. n) Weight of 1,000 sq ft: minimum of 875 and maximum of 1,000 lbs. o) Slip Resistance Dry and Wet Unit %: Rate minimum of 95% and maximum of 100% dry, minimum of 65% and maximum of 75% wet. m) Thermal Expansion: Extension 0,0039 % per 1 F change. BRAND/MODEL: Stilmat R-Evo or equal. 2.02 LINE MARKING a) Line marking will be painted in the factory by sport surface manufacturer and be specifically formulated for application to the flooring material installed per manufacturer’s recommendations prior to delivery. b) Color of the tile will be light blue color and needs to be suitable for outdoor installation and use. Standard hockey game lines need to be plotted on the tiles. (Center red line, two blue lines, faceoff circle in the at center rink and two on each end and four other neutral zone face off dots as well the goal line and goalie crease). Manufacturer needs to submit a diagram for approval before painting. (See Attachment B). c) Touch up paint (1 quart) to be furnished for each color used on the flooring. d) Option: Add: City of Yuma logo to be plotted at the center of the hockey court.
