The Department of Human Services’ HIV Community Service Unit (STATE) currently administers Minnesota’s Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) which provides funding to community-based organizations throughout Minnesota who serve people living with HIV (PLWH). In addition to administering services, STATE also leads the implementation of END HIV MN, which provides key components and milestones that work to end HIV in Minnesota. STATE is seeking responders who wish to supplement programs and services currently being provided to PLWH throughout Minnesota. In state fiscal year 2024 (SFY24), STATE conducted a rapid community engagement project with an independent consultant to determine how to best allocate remaining funding provided by Minnesota’s State Legislature. Through a series of workshops and targeted meetings, 125 providers, consumers, and community members provided 434 ideas and comments that were compiled into three themes: urgent needs, system strengthening, and innovative investments. See Appendix 1 for more information.
