Specifications include, but are not limited to: Summary of Work General: This package consists of removal of existing track surface and asphalt and widening track to 8 lanes. Freestanding ADA bleachers and ramp system to be installed on both home and away side bleachers. See the following project description: Hunter High School Site Scope of Work: ▪ Remain and protect – synthetic turf field and inside concrete track edge, concession stand building, concrete bleachers and stairs, portions of western ramp, and majority of landscaping and trees around perimeter. ▪ Demolish - existing 4-lane track, surrounding asphalt and concrete walks, long jump runway and pit, portions of western ramp, landscaping, utilities, and irrigation lines. ▪ Install – 8-lane asphalt track and surfacing, long jump and pole vault event areas within field, ADA seating via freestanding bleacher system on both home and away side bleachers, revised ramp system to accommodate new grades, retaining walls and ramps, trench drain, and pedestrian walkways. ▪ Reuse decorative fence panels around existing track ▪ Resurface high jump area to match new track surfacing. Project Specific Requirements: 1. Design and Construction: The design and construction of the Track Field events shall comply with rules and guidelines of the National Federation of State High School Associations. The Contractor shall perform the required work in a thorough, workman-like manner, and follow the guidelines that will allow the tracks to be certified. Any conflicts that occur herein with regards to this statement, this statement shall govern. 2. Schedule: The Contractor shall include with the bid a project schedule that has a start date 7 days from the notice to proceed and includes all time for site investigation, survey, coordination with other contractors, design, and construction. 3. Submittals: The Contractor shall submit drawings and or product cut sheets for review of the Architect/Engineer and owner for verification of compliance of project design intent. 4. Site Conditions: The Contractor shall familiarize themselves with ordinances and statutes pertaining to public improvements. 5. Existing Utilities and Site Improvement: The Contractor shall be responsible for locating and protecting all utilities, irrigation heads, irrigation lines, water lines or other structures not specified for removal. The Contractor shall be held responsible for any repairs or damage to these improvements that are caused by work on this contract.
