MNPS is seeking the provision of portable moving services to accommodate shifting student populations throughout the district. * Contractor shall be a licensed General Contractor in the State of Tennessee with a House Moving specialty identified on the license. * Contractor shall be regularly employed in the business of House Moving as their primary business. * Contractor shall have the capacity to move portable classrooms in a timely manner (within 4 weeks of permit approval) and to perform multiple moves concurrently. Contractor shall be able to, at a minimum, move two portables on a given day. Moves shall be from one school to another within timeframes and days permitted by MNPS and other regulating government bodies. MNPS typically moves portables in June and July with an average annual volume of 10-20 portables in those two months. Contractor shall explain in their response their ability to deliver this typical volume. * Contractor shall possess access to, at a minimum, two complete rigs for moving portable classroom buildings. Shall include prime movers in first class condition, lowboy or specially constructed trailers designed to transport typical 20-foot-wide by 40-foot-long by 12-foot-high buildings over rough terrain without twisting, racking, or damaging the building. All auxiliar equipment such as jacks, cribbing, and anchoring devices shall be included/provided by Contractor. * Contractors shall secure and maintain all permits and clearances necessary to perform the portable classroom building relocations in addition to maintaining necessary electrical and fire alarm permits.
