Treatment May-July. The Security Fence line is 8,800 feet in length, from the East Gate to South Gate. The cross section area of the security fence line to be maintained is 30 feet wide. This 6-acre area is to be maintained so that all woody vegetation is controlled and grass height is restricted. The security fence line can be accessed from two different locations; South Gate Entrance, Camp Dawson and Wilson Hill located in the Wetzel Settlement. Treat fence line from Front Main Gate to East Gate (2,655’ x 2’). Camp Dawson Motor Pools and Compounds-- Pre-emergent applications are to be made prior to leaf out when weather conditions are favorable, March [2.5-acres] FMS, ENG, SRP, RTI, and ASP Fence lines, Maintain weeds, grasses, shrubs, and small trees along fence line within 4-foot buffer. First treatment April/May, Second treatment July D1 [13-acres] Maintain invasive species along Camp Dawson river bank from south gate to main entrance, with special focus of cut stump treatment on the southwest end of airfield runway, and elimination of trees, shrubs, and any vegetation impeding the clear view of outlet signs along the river bank. Treatment July/August Flat ranges[ 0.5 acres] Maintain grasses within graveled areas and around shooting positions. Weapons Vaults [ 0.5 acres] Maintain weeds, grasses, and vegetation within gravel area surrounding weapons vaults. Gas shut-off [0.5 acres] Maintain unwanted vegetation within fence. Airfield- Treat landing zone area concrete breaks and cracks for grass and leafy vegetation (2-acres). Volkstone Tract (22-acres) AFRC Motor Pool and Compound fence, and fence side of storm water ditch. First treatment April/May [0.75 acre] Second treatment July [0.75 acre] four-foot wide strip. DPW Compound Fence and Building-- Maintain weeds, grasses, and shrubs along fence line, two-foot strip on outside of fence, 10 foot wide strip on inside of fence. First treatment April/May [0.25 acre]. Second treatment July [0.25 acre] Volkstone Building Perimeters-- [1-acre]. Four-foot strip around buildings. First treatment May. Second treatment July. (Garlon 3A + Escort) Low angle site—[0.5 acre]. Maintain weeds, grasses, and shrubs on Gravel slope used for low angle rescue training. First treatment March-April, second treatment August-September. Perimeter fence line [ 2-acres] Maintain weeds, grasses, and woody species along perimeter fence line with a 10-foot buffer of woody species. Shanty Town Village [1.5-acres] Treat unwanted vegetation and invasive species within gravel area and around connex buildings. C-130 [2-acres] eradicate unwanted vegetation around C-130 within gravel area as represented on map within appendix D and G.
