ISO: Voice Acting Instructor for Workshop and Audition Seeking an experienced voice acting coach to serve as the lead instructor and coach for a threeday workshop for Cherokee speakers. This workshop is designed to prepare participants for a voice acting audition in the Cherokee language. Responsibilities: • Facilitate a three-day workshop based on comprehensive curriculum designed for Cherokee speakers. • Serve as the lead instructor and coach for the workshop, providing expert guidance and instruction. • Assist Cherokee speakers in preparing for an audition, focusing on techniques that will foster their success. • Provide constructive feedback and personalized coaching to each participant. Qualifications: • Demonstrated experience working with Native American actors and understanding of the unique cultural nuances. • Experience in curriculum development and workshop facilitation, with a focus on culturally responsive teaching practices. • Familiarity with the representation of Native American voices in media and a commitment to authenticity and respect in such portrayals. • Strong understanding of voice acting techniques and audition preparation with a passion for teaching Native speakers and ability to inspire participants. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to provide personalized coaching and feedback with respect for and adherence to the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion in all aspects of the work.
