Johnson County is seeking proposals from experienced engineering firms for the survey and design of a bridge on 207th Street, approximately 0.2 miles east of Cedar Niles Road over a tributary to Little Bull Creek, (JOCO Bridge # J.2-1.0). The existing structure is a 40’ span steel girder bridge that needs replacement. The new structure should be designed to be on the existing alignment and accommodate typical section of two 12’ lanes with 6’ shoulders. For purposes of this selection process, it should be assumed that the new structure will be a hunched slab type bridge. This project is anticipated to be let for construction in 2026. Funding for this Project is from local ad valorum taxes; no state or federal funds are being used.
