Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Estimates shall include all minor body-work in adjacent areas, i.e. paint bumper, etc. as separate estimate for repair consideration. 2. If there is a possibility of hidden damage, a separate and detailed estimate must be provided in addition to the original detailed estimate and approval must be obtained from the County. 3. If the County requests an estimate to repaint the total exterior, the estimate shall include all body damage repairs and door jambs. 4. Application of fresh paint over dents, rust etc. is unacceptable. 5. Unless requested by Fleet Management, all paint will match the original vehicle color and type as close as possible. 6. For color changes, there shall be no old or primer color visible when viewing from the exterior of the unit, nor when door is in the open position. 7. All prep work (i.e. sandblasting, steam cleaning, sanding, priming etc.) should be included in the estimated price. 8. In the case of new metal, the metal needs to be washed or treated to remove mill residue assuring proper primer and paint adhesion. 9. If a vehicle is drivable the County will take the vehicle to the Contractor's place of business, if the vehicle is not drivable the Contractor shall go to the vehicle location and provide an estimate and pick up the vehicle.
