Specifications include, but are not limited to: The County of Riverside Purchasing & Fleet Services on behalf of the Department of Waste Resources (DWR) is seeking proposals from qualified parties qualified in providing an electrical generation project run on landfill gas for the County of Riverside’s Department of Waste Resources. Project Goal The primary goal of the project is to beneficially use the landfill gas produced at Riverside County’s Coachella, Edom Hill, and/or Highgrove Landfills to produce electricity while maintaining compliance with all regulatory statutes. Project Objectives and Outcomes To produce electricity from landfill gas generated at any combination of the DWR’s Closed Coachella, Edom Hill, and Highgrove Landfills while maintaining regulatory compliance. DWR’s goal is to beneficially use the landfill gas, instead of flaring the landfill gas. The project will be funded by the applicant and profits shall be shared with the County through a profit-sharing agreement or similar negotiable arrangement. The project developer shall monetize the use or sale of electricity at their discretion.
