Specifications include, but are not limited to: Hot Mix and Cold Mix (Asphaltic Concrete) is a necessary commodity for the City. Failure to supply material in a timely manner can cause the City unwarranted expenses. Therefore, a primary and secondary supplier will be awarded this bid. Materials purchased under this contract must be delivered and/or picked within a 24-hour notice. If the primary supplier indicates a specific quantity of material is not available when the order is placed, the City reserves the right to obtain the material from the secondary supplier. 2.2 Hot Mix and Cold Mix (Asphaltic Concrete) must be in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, and regulation (City and County). In addition, the Contractor must ensure that any subcontractor performing under this contract must comply with all applicable laws and regulations pertaining to this contract. 2.3 It is anticipated that a large percentage (80%) of Hot Mix and Cold Mix material purchased under this contract will be picked up within a 24-hour notice. The City’s current patch machine capacity for product is 5 tons. The Public Works department’s working hours of 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, except on City Holidays. Bidder must indicate instance if this requirement of operations cannot be met and indicate minimum load requirements, if any. Preference may be given to bidders that do not require minimum orders. Prices quoted for PICK UP of material BY CITY must reflect all costs associated with production, storage and must be listed under the Questionnaire Form, as applicable. Failure to include all costs will result in the additional expense being paid by the bidder.
