Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Tempe (City) is seeking proposals for the supply of Asphalt and Concrete Construction Materials for use by various City departments during an initial two-year contract period with three (3) one-year renewal options exercisable based on pricing and performance of awarded firm(s). The City reserves the right to make multiple awards and/or to award a contract by individual line items, groups of line items or aggregate award. Companies are not required to bid all items in order to be considered for award. The Contractor’s inventory level of the items contained in this proposal shall be sufficient to provide the daily support of the City’s requirements. If the City has an immediate need for a commodity on this project which the Contractor cannot supply, the City reserves the right to purchase like goods elsewhere. It is important that the awarded firm have a plant in close proximity to the City to allow pick-up of materials. Special circumstances may require late afternoon deliveries with less than 48 hours’ notice. The City will notify the supplier before 12 noon on the preceding business day of the quantity of materials required. The Contractor may be requested to submit samples and test data of construction materials within three (3) working days upon request by the City. Sampling and testing shall comply with the MAG “Uniform Standard Specification of Public Works Construction”.
