Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor must be responsible to provide routinely scheduled swimming pool maintenance. Swimming pool maintenance services must include, but are not limited to, the following: A. Cleaning 1. Brush/vacuum pool bottoms, sides, and steps. 2. Check pool water, decking area, pump and skimmer/strainer baskets, and equipment areas for potentially hazardous material, mold, debris and obstructions, including but not limited to, foreign objects, insects, rodents, leaves, and other vegetation. 3. Skim pool to remove debris and obstructions, including but not limited to, foreign objects, insects, rodents, leaves, and other vegetation. 4. Remove debris and obstructions, including but not limited to, foreign objects, insects, rodents, leaves and other vegetation, from pump and skimmer/strainer baskets. B. Pool Related Equipment 1. Monitor pool equipment for potential problems. 2. Backwash as needed and/or upon request by the Contract Representative or City designee. a. Backwash when the filter’s pressure gauge indicates an increase over normal pressure. b. Service all backwash valves annually. 3. Check, clean, and maintain the filtration system, including but not limited to, the chlorination system, drains, filters, pumps, pump baskets, and skimmer/strainer baskets. 4. Manually test auto-fill lines to ensure proper operation. 5. Monitor filter influent and effluent pressure gauges
