The City-County desires to evaluate available software solutions to determine if a more modern system would better meet the needs of the various tax offices. The City-County is only interested in commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) applications that meet the general requirements put forth in this RFI. The City-County is seeking to evaluate how its current application(s) compare(s) to what is currently available on the market in order to determine if it wishes to remain with the current product or move forward with procuring a new one. At its core, a prospective tax system must enable the Assessor, Auditor, Treasurer, and enterprise as a whole to conduct their work. Through this RFI, the City-County is looking for prospective vendors to: 1. Evaluate other systems available to determine if a more modern system would better meet the needs of the various tax offices. The City-County is only interested in commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) applications; 2. Provide the City-County with the current, best-practice industry terms, standards, products and other knowledge and verbiage required to write an RFP; 3. Identify and understand the product options that are available in the marketplace; 4. Identify specific functionality that will meet City-County’s business objectives outlined in the background section and by statute; 5. Identify the level of product quality necessary to meet City-County standards; and 6. Identify the potential level of effort that will be required for implementation and training
