As the program has grown and evolved, the KinderTrack system has required many workarounds and has limited the Agency’s ability to integrate with newer and more modern systems. Additionally, the child care program’s reporting needs are no longer being met with this system. The current system’s limited functionality has also resulted in the development of independent, supplemental systems for activities such as provider licensing/regulation and document storage. For these reasons, Iowa intends to replace KinderTrack. Concise, conceptual responses are sought which will inform the Agency’s leadership of the options available, estimates of cost, and implementation timeframes. The Agency seeks to gain a better understanding of the available approaches; therefore, responses are being solicited from a wide range of respondents in accordance with the objectives and parameters established in this document. Vendors may submit a response that includes one or more proposed solutions; however, responses should separately address all applicable information sought by this RFI as it pertains to each solution.
