Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Manchester Water and Sewer Department (The Department) provides water and wastewaterservices to approximately 55,000 residents of the Town of Manchester and small portions ofneighboring communities. The Department owns and operates a water treatment plant, a wastewatertreatment facility, a water quality laboratory, and water and sewer infrastructure including piping, pumpstations, and storage tanks. The Department has 54 employees and is divided into 5 functional areasincluding Administration, Wastewater Treatment, Water Treatment, Laboratory and Field Maintenance. The Water and Sewer Department operates as a Utility division of the Town of Manchester, and works in coordination with other town departments for general services including information systems, engineering, purchasing, accounting and collections functions. The customer service, billing, metering and cross connection operations occur within the Administration under the direction of the Deputy Administrator
