Specifications include, but are not limited to: City Hall Area • Planting maintenance and replacement of any dead or dying existing perennials • Furnish, installation, and maintenance of new annuals within all existing planting beds • Furnish, installation, and maintenance of new annuals within all existing planting pots located at City Hall or in the U.S. Hwy 67 (Grant St / State St) median. There are approximately fifteen (15) planters in total. • Weeding and watering of all annual pots. Watering of annuals shall be done a minimum of four (4) times weekly for the duration of the season. During periods of high heat and no precipitation, watering should be done with greater frequency to ensure the health of the plants. • Furnish and install new mulch to a uniform depth of one inch (1”) to cover existing mulch. Contractor shall also de-compact existing mulch prior to placement of new. • Spring and fall cleanup of all landscape beds • Weeding of all landscape beds. • Chemical application and weekly mowing and trimming • Irrigation system startup and shutdown • Fountain startup, shutdown and seasonal maintenance. Startup shall include pressure washing, installation of fountain manifold and associated electrical work. • System shutdown shall be done on or around October 15. Shutdown shall include draining and pressure washing and removal of manifold. Additionally, the manifold must be cleaned and re-painted black, brass spray nozzles evaluated and replaced as needed and all system components stored at vendor’s facility for the winter. • Approximate maintenance schedule is as follows: o April – (1) application of algicide at startup o May – (1x) draining of fountain and pressure washing, (2) applications of algicide even spread over month. o June – (2x) draining of fountain and pressure washing, (4) applications of algicide even spread over month. o July – (2x) draining of fountain and pressure washing, (4) applications of algicide even spread over month. o August – (2x) draining of fountain and pressure washing, (4) applications of algicide even spread over month. o September – (1x) draining of fountain and pressure washing, (2) applications of algicide even spread over month.
