Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Shelby County Health Department (SCHD) seeks community-based organizations (CBO) applications for funding to prevent and reduce violent crime in communities by supporting data-informed, comprehensive, evidence-based violence intervention and prevention programs. These programs include efforts to address gang and gun violence based on partnerships among community residents, local government agencies, victim service providers, community-based organizations (CBOs), law enforcement, hospitals, researchers, and other community stakeholders. This initiative seeks to address gun violence through a public health approach and furthers the SCHD's mission to promote, protect, and improve the health of ALL in Shelby County.
