Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Curb, Gutter, and Sidewalk Repair Program shall consist of saw cutting existing concrete sidewalk and curb & gutter, removal of sidewalk and curb & gutter, grading of the sub-base, installation of new curb & gutter and sidewalk, asphaltic patching adjacent to curb removal and replacement, landscaping repair, installation of detectable warning fields at all curb ramp locations, and traffic control during construction. The contractor shall be responsible for traffic control in accordance with the MUTCD. Traffic control shall be in place prior to starting work to protect the traveling public and to protect the repair or installation areas from the time the items are removed until the repair or new curb & gutter or sidewalk is completed and can be opened to vehicular or pedestrian traffic; general cleanup including sweeping of the street after the pavement is removed and placed is also required.
