Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3101 Webb Ave. Brick Repair and Replacement; New installation of Face Brick; Tuckpointing Material: a. Face Brick: Match existing face brick b. Mortar: Match existing – Color, texture, style Tuckpointing: a. Selectively remove and replace all cracked brick. Remove and replace 100% of the joint sealants b. Employ use of hand tools and pneumatic tools to remove loose and deteriorated mortar from around brick and repoint them. Prepare joints by brushing out loose mortar. Mix and install new mortar to match existing Cleaning: a. Remove excess mortar and mortar smears b. Clean soiled surfaces with cleaning solution, non‐acidic, which will not harm masonry or adjacent materials c. Use non‐metallic tools in cleaning process d. Clean each face of masonry unit equally, do not spot clean. Powerwash the brick/block and apply a clear penetrating water repellant to brick faces only.
