Specifications include, but are not limited to: • work with the MDE, Office of Special Education staff to prioritize, schedule, organize, and to provide technical assistance to teachers and administrators on evidence-based literacy strategies such as the Science of Reading; • provide appropriate coaching and professional development services that address reading deficiencies in schools to ensure that there is cohesive, sustained, intensive and classroomfocused professional development and coaching that is rigorous, engaging, and aligned to the Mississippi College and Career-Readiness Standards; • develop non-threatening, open, professional, and collaborative work relationships with SSIP literacy coaches, district-level school personnel, school-based literacy coaches, principals, and teachers; • develop and provide professional development throughout the State and in school districts (e.g., Science of Reading, Co-teaching or High-Quality Instructional Materials) • documented experience developing PowerPoints centered around evidence-based literacy instruction and supports for Students with Disabilities
