Specifications include, but are not limited to: River Parishes Community College – Gonzales Campus 1. Provide regular lawn service to include but not limited to: a. Mowing of all campus grounds and surrounding property area. b. Edging of all sidewalks, curbsides, and other necessary edging of lawn areas. c. Trimming and edging around perimeter of all buildings, signage, flower beds, and other obstructions and obstacles that a mower cannot reach. d. Utilize a leaf blower or equivalent equipment to remove all trimmings from sidewalks, parking lots, and other walkways and paved areas. e. Remove and/or redistribute any excess build-up of lawn trimmings as necessary to present a clean-cut and professional appearance as to not leave piles of cut grass throughout lawn or campus grounds. f. Provide brush clearing (bush hog) and ditch maintenance as necessary. 2. Provide seasonal lawn care and regular maintenance to include but not limited to: a. Apply fertilizer to all lawn areas as required. A minimum application every spring and fall to include lawn and grounds winterization. b. Provide weed control and removal by means of manual removal or by application of pre-emergent herbicides and post-emergent herbicides. c. Provide dethatching and remove any thatch if over 3/4 inch thick. d. Overseeding as necessary to address thin or patchy areas of lawn and grounds. e. Provide disease management to remove or prevent fungal growth. f. Complete aeration of lawn areas as necessary, and a minimum of once yearly.
