Reconstruction of potable water system from point of connection to the new outdoor shower, in place complete. Work includes but is not limited to excavating, probing and locating the existing potable water lines and point of connections; cutting, plugging and deactivating the existing potable water lines; demolishing and removing the existing potable water lines, 4" backflow prevention assemblies, CMU and concrete pedestals and concrete footings, cast iron pipes, gate valves, valve boxes, fittings, concrete reaction blocks, pipe barriers and concrete footings, outdoor shower, shower heads, supply lines, valves, concrete column, steel pipe column, concrete slab, base course and all other miscellaneous appurtenances as directed by the Officer-in-Charge; salvaging, cleaning and delivering the existing 4" backflow prevention assemblies, pipes, gate valves, valve boxes, fittings and other items identified by the Officerin-Charge; sawcutting, removing and restoring asphalt concrete pavement; trench excavation, backfilling and compacting; furnishing and installing new 3" Board of Water Supply approved reduced pressure principle backflow prevention assembly with strainer, structural strut, concrete beam, adjustable cradle pipe supports, chain link fence enclosure with 6’ high chain link fence, 3' wide pedestrian gate, 12' wide service gate and concrete slab, 4", 6" and 8" PVC pipes, ½", 1", 2" and 2 ½" copper Type K pipes, 2 ½" brass pipes, gate valves, valve boxes, fittings, thrust and reaction blocks, and appurtenances; making connections to the existing 8" potable water line, 1" service lateral to the existing outdoor shower to remain; 2" service lateral for the existing comfort station, 1" service lateral for the new outdoor shower and new 4" irrigation main; hydrotesting, chlorination, testing and proper disposal of chlorination and hydrotest water; and all other related and miscellaneous work and materials necessary to complete and make operational the potable water system in accordance with the plans and specifications.
