LSU seeks the proposal of experienced and capable agencies with work led by expert level ADA knowledgeable professionals to undertake the University self-evaluation and create a transition plan for corrective work. The duration of the process will be developed with the Supplier. We expect this work may take 24-30 months for completion, full approval and adoption. This project shall be completed within 36 months. LSU is looking for the Supplier to undertake a comprehensive self-evaluation of the campus in the physical, digital and programmatic realms and develop a transition plan to move the campus toward increased and full accessibility for persons with disabilities through identifying and offering creative solutions. The recommendations should differentiate between what is required by law and what is not required, but worthy of consideration. Also included shall be a process of information collection allowing the University to create an accessibility map of the University with markers including, but not limited to; wheelchair accessibility routes across campus, accessible point for ingress and egress to campus buildings, accessible restrooms, paths with stairs or other accessibility barriers, elevators within buildings and curb cuts. This cache of information should be prioritized in the process.
