Specifications include, but are not limited to: Rapid hardening concrete patching material with aggregate. Material to be supplied in fifty (50) pound multi-wall, water resistant tight bags. Fifty five (55) pound bags will also be accepted. Broken bags and bags with valves or quick open devices will not be accepted. This concrete patching material shall set within thirty five (35) minutes or less and shall be able to handle normal traffic within one (1) hour after set. Patching material shall be for use on both roads and bridges. Shall be capable of performing in temperatures as low as thirty two (32) degrees Fahrenheit and shall be able to withstand freeze-thaw cycles, salt applications, and heavy traffic. Shall be at minimum eighty (80) percent cement per bag. The concrete patching material shall be on the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet/Division of Materials approved list. Shall be Quikrete’s Rapid Road Repair (with aggregate) or approved equivalent. If bidding an approved equivalent, please submit spec sheets with bid.
