Specifications include, but are not limited to: GENERAL: It is the intent of these specifications to describe minimum requirements for a 48', traveling axle, platform type trailer. Only new, first quality materials and workmanship will be found acceptable in the delivery of this product. Units shall be manufacturer’s latest current production model and supported by the manufacturer’s specification literature. Units that are not of production type will not be considered. CAPACITY: 40 tons (trailer shall be rated for 65 MPH highway speed with load concentrated in any 10 ft. of platform length.) OVERALL TRANSPORT LENGTH: 48 feet (37 feet of usable lower deck space). DECK WIDTH: 102 inches. PLATFORM: The platform shall be a single drop deck type and be full width and loadable for the entire length of the trailer. Open wheel wells will NOT be acceptable. A flat type approach plate shall be load bearing and be a structural part of the trailer without being hinged. Trailer shall have a low-load angle of 6.5 degrees. FLOOR: Minimum 1-3/8" Apitong wood deck placed longitudinally and secured to cross members. PLATFORM HEIGHT: 38.5" maximum (loaded)
