Specifications include, but are not limited to: The welded wire fencing requested for bid is as follows: 2.1.1 Fencing Manufacturer shall be Ameristar Fence brand with the WireWorks Plus architectural welded wire fencing product or equal. 2.1.1.1 Any alternate manufacturer shall match this style of fencing. Contractor shall submit cut sheets and specifications for the alternate fencing prior to the deadline for questions, which is February 19, 2024 at 3:00pm CST. The Parks & Recreation Department will be the sole determinator of whether the alternate is acceptable. 2.1.2 The fence shall be 6 feet in height with 3 architectural “v” folds per manufacturer for the height specified. 2.1.3 Gauge of the welded wire is to be 16-gauge galvanized steel that is polyester coated. 2.1.4 Fencing is to be black in color. 2.1.5 Posts shall be 2.5” inch x 16 ga. square posts with the total length of the post per manufacturer’s specifications. 2.1.6 The footings for the posts shall be a minimum of 48-inches in depth from top of existing grade to the bottom of the footing. 2.1.7 There will be four (4) total walk-through gates on the project located, 2 each, on opposite ends of the park as shown on the attached plan. There will also be a 12-foot-wide double gate (2 - 6’ wide swing gates latched in the middle) along the 4th St. SE side of the park with the final location of the gate to be determined by the Parks Department prior to installation. 2.1.8 The concrete entry areas shall be installed by the Owner. Footings for the fencing posts shall meet the proposed entry grades as provided by the Owner prior to construction. Each post footing will have a very slight slope away from the post to the edge of the footing. 2.1.9 Contrary to the manufacturer’s drawings the fencing shall be installed with only a maximum 1” gap from the bottom of the fencing to the existing ground surface. 2.1.10 All 4’ walk-through gates shall have self-closing hinges and hardware on them.
