Specifications include, but are not limited to: The cooling tower replacement work shall include, but not be limited to: 1. Furnish new BAC (Baltimore Aircoil Company) cooling tower Model # VFL-024-32J. 2. Isolate existing cooling tower electrically and make safe. 3. Isolate water supply and return from tower and drain tower sump and supply and return lines from building. 4. Disconnect tower electrically and remove piping from tower and sump overflow. 5. Using crane remove existing tower from concrete pad and set new cooling tower in place. 6. Re-pipe supply and return condenser water piping and tower sump water supply and overflow. 7. Provide and install new ABB 7.5 hp frequency drive with bypass for tower fan and motor starter for spray pump motor. 8. Rewire new cooling tower. 9. Fill tower, check for leaks, test operation and put new tower in service. The underground piping from the building to the cooling tower replacement work shall include, but not be limited to: 1. Isolate water supply and return from tower and building and drain supply and return lines. 2. Remove existing underground piping. 3. Furnish and install new 4” Schedule 80 PVC supply and return pipes from inside of foundation to cooling tower. 4. Pressure test new underground piping. At the completion of the project, the contractor shall clean the work area and remove all debris, materials, tools, and equipment from the site.
